Kaolin (China Clay): used in oil absorbing powders and masques; highly absorbent. It gives colour and slip to powders and can help clear breakouts.

Kathon CG: an effective fungicide, useful against bacteria, yeasts and fungi

Keratin: a surface protective agent with film forming and moisturising properties; helps protect skin and retain moisture.

Kiwi (Actinida Chinensis) Fruit Oil: contains more than 60% alpha linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid. High concentrations of ALA help retain moisture. Also contains Vitamins C and E, potassium and magnesium.

Klamath Glue-Green (Aphanizomenon Flos-Aquae) Algae: a nutrient dense substance, containing glycoproteins, vitamins, minerals, simple carbohydrates, lipids and biologically active enzymes. Due to the algae’s nutritious soft cell wall, these nutrients are readily available to the body.

Kojic Acid: a skin lightening agent derived from aspergilus fungi; studies find it to be a tyrosinase inhibitors. Used to lighten brown patches associated with pregnancy or OCP (Melasma)

KuKui (Aleurites Moluccana) Seed Oil: an intensely moisturising oil high in vitamins that quickly absorbs, soothes and nourishes dry or damaged skin.
