Water: most frequently listed main ingredient in skin care products used in its purest form, void of minerals and other chemicals, hence the various names like distilled, deionised, purified etc

Walnut (Juglands) Oil: extracted from the ripe nut. Has soothing, fungistatic and astringent properities.

Wheat (Triticum Vulgare) Germ Oil: emollient oil with antioxidant and free radical scavenging properties. Natural source of Vitamins A, E, D and squalene

White Tea (Camellia Sinensis) Leaf Extract: a strong natural antioxidant rich in polyphenols, catachins, catecholds and flavenol.

Wild Yam (Dioscorea Villosa) Root Extract: contains steroid saponins primarily diosgenin, which the body can use to trigger its own hormones as, and if, it needs them. Key consitutents include diosgenin, saponins, tannins, catechins, indoles, glucosides and oligopolysaccharides.

Willowbark (Salix Alba) Extract: contains natural BHAs and has excellent penetration of the dermis. Provides time released salicylic acid and natural exfoliation of cells.

Willowherb Extract: form the evening primrose family, enhances moisture retention by creating a protective film on the skin; also may have some ability to inhibit tyrosinase and therefore lighten pigmented areas of skin.

Witch Hazel (Hamamelis Virginiana) Leaf Extract: used as an astringent in cosmetics. Soothing to irritating skin; non drying, has wound healing properties. Also shown to be effective against free radicals.
